The Department of Mathematics of the Universidad Nacional del Sur, the Argentinean Section of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (AR-SIAM) and the Argentinean Association for Industrial, Computational and Applied Mathematics (ASAMACI) have the honor to invite you to participate in the 3rd. Congress on Industrial, Computational and Applied Mathematics. It will take place in Bahía Blanca, Argentina, from May 9th. to 11th., 2011.
Professionals coming from Academy, Industry and Companies, inspired by the mission and the conviction that Applied, Computational and Industrial Mathematics plays an important and ever increasing role in the advancement of Science and Technology, meet every two years at this Conference to interchange new ideas and learn about diverse and innovative applications of Mathematics.
The main purposes are:
- To provide a forum for the discussion and enhancement of Applied Mathematics in the region.
- To promote the application of Mathematics in Science, Engineering, Computational Science, Industry and Technology.
- To encourage and endorse activities for the enhancement and promotion of the education of Applied Mathematics at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
- To promote basic research and education in Mathematics, supporting, promoting or leading to applications in industry and science.
- To provide media for the exchange of information and ideas between mathematicians and other technical and scientific personnel.
- To promote interdisciplinary research between different disciplines of Science and Engineering in areas involving Mathematics.
- To promote the interest in Applied Mathematics among all disciplines of Science and Engineering.
